西南财大“健康政策与治理研究中心”是集科研、教学和社会服务于一体，横跨系统科学、管理学、经济学、工程学、社会学、政治学、生命科学等多学科交叉领域的跨学科研究中心。该中心致力于引进新的理念和方法，从国际的视角对医药卫生体系和健康产业发展进行战略性的研究，在不远的将来成为国内一流、国际知名、具有中国特色的健康政策与治理研究中心。
该中心的主要工作领域包括：
第一， 注重健康政策与治理基础研究，逐步形成中国的健康政策与治理理论体系
鉴于健康治理问题日益增加，其复杂程度已经远远超过单个学科所能解决的范畴，因此，不仅需要运用管理学、经济学、社会学、政治学、医学等多学科交叉领域的理论和方法，还需要结合现代系统科学的前沿研究和各国健康政策与治理的具体实践，从宏观和微观两个层面探索健康发展的规律，探索政府、社会、和个人协同配合、有效维护和促进健康的机制。
第二， 承担政府和社会有关科研项目。
关注国内外医药卫生体制改革和健康产业发展的进程，及时了解、研究健康政策与治理的重点、难点问题，推动中国建立与中国经济社会发展实际相适应，可持续协调发展的基本医疗卫生制度。重点研究中外医疗卫生体制及其比较、医药卫生服务事业发展中的地区与城乡统筹发展、基本卫生服务均等化、基本医疗保险制度改革与发展等宏观卫生经济与管理问题。
第三，结合健康市场的具体情况，研究中国健康产业发展的运行机制和投融资问题，开展医药卫生技术的经济学评估以及医疗机构绩效评价和人力资源等理论、方法和问题。深入医疗卫生领域实际，了解我国医疗卫生事业发展历史和现状，学习借鉴其他国家的经验，为市场和医疗机构解决实际问题，探索一条理论联系实际的中心发展道路。
第四，开展社会医学和卫生事业管理硕士学位的招生和课程教学工作。
举办和承担高层次的卫生管理人员培训项目等。教学中引导学生关注卫生经济与管理领域的世界前沿动态，密切跟踪中国经济社会和卫生事业发展进程中出现的新问题新挑战，将教学、科研与实际应用融为一体。
The Center of Health Policy and Governance (CHPG) at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) was founded in 2014. Our mission is to integrate research, training and services to promote health and well-being. Building on multi-disciplines of economics, management, public health, system science, political science, and applied sociology, our primary activities include:
Health policy and governance research
Conduct research on 1) health policy making and implementation; 2) health governance theories and applications to guide health system reform and improve health care quality and efficiency;
Consultancy to decision-makers and services for communities
Develop innovative health policy through bridging gaps between the academia, the public and private sectors, and government policy-makers.
International collaboration and partnership
Seek and identify lessons that are transferable across country contexts. Building on multi-country and international comparative research, we learn and share experiences with other developed and developing countries.
Training and education
Nurture the next generation of policy-makers, managers and researchers through an innovative education program in Health Policy and Governance.
